At first I thought I would have a difficult time finding an immigrant to interview. I wanted an interesting story so I thought I would have to find someone who had migrated from a far away country in order to get that story. I talked to my dad (who migrated from Mexico) about my class assignment in the hope that he would know somebody who I could interview. While talking he began to share his own story about how he came to live in Phoenix.

At the end of our conversation I realized I had just conducted my migrant interview. And the story was interesting!

Not only did I complete my interview, but I had the opportunity to learn more about my own families journey to the United States.

I will be telling his story, as it was told to me.
